Androids for all.
Clone was started with the mission to build low-cost androids to perform all the common labor in daily life.
Contact usR&D since 2014
Since 2014, Łukasz has been improving McKibben artificial muscles and leveraging the principles of biomechanics to actuate natural human skeletons toward power-dense androids.
In 2020, Dhanush, an entrepreneur and scientist, joined Łukasz to productize the musculoskeletal technology and to build a robot brain that rapidly learns new manipulation skills.
First year
During the first year of Clone’s operation in Wrocław, Poland, the team raised $600,000 and pushed the durability of the Clone Hand by almost 700X, while simplifying the manufacturing time of the hand from years to days, miniaturizing the subsystems by orders of magnitude, improving the speed and compliance, and developing the low-level control infrastructure.
The future
Clone is planning to launch its first line of products in 2024, including Clone Hand and Clone Torso. Our focus is on developing cheap, durable components as well as to assemble a brain team for sophisticated android control.
Meet the team
Clone employs a creative team of 12 scientists and engineers across fields such as physics, biomechanics, materials science, electronics, and machine learning.
